About Us

Founded in 1980, NYSEPH has had a mission to train clinicians in the healthcare field in the techniques, skills, and ideas created by Milton H. Erickson. Erickson’s work helped make hypnosis an important strategy and a highly-regarded clinical tool. It has been embraced by medical and therapeutic communities all over the world, garnering a great deal of research support. NYSEPH’s mission is to provide in-depth training in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, utilizing an ongoing, collaborative, supervisory and competency-based model to ensure individuals are equipped to fully integrate hypnosis into their clinical work. In contrast to many programs, the ongoing and longer-term nature of NYSEPH’s training offers ongoing support and a structure for deeper learning.

All the Board and Faculty Members have completed the NYSEPH Training Program and incorporate the techniques of Ericksonian Hypnosis into their work.
