Seminars
NYSEPH’s Sunday seminars are experiential workshops covering specific topics, designed to immerse (or re-immerse) clinicians in the use of Ericksonian hypnotherapeutic techniques. Students of hypnotherapy will be introduced to the techniques within a specific context, and graduates and more experienced clinicians will hone their skills in application. Each workshop emphasizes the teaching and practice of Ericksonian skills.
You must register using the Attend button below, as space is limited and seminars fill up.

Description:
Hypnotherapy can be an effective method for coping with anxiety. Hypnosis can reduce stress and anxiety related to several areas of our life. How do we achieve that? By helping the patient to experience deep levels of relaxation while imagining something that makes them feel anxious.
In addition, someone suffering from anxiety will also use CBT as another method to curb the anxiety’s effects. Pairing hypnosis with CBT will teach a person to train the mind to react differently to anxious thoughts, while hypnosis can augment cognitive reframing and address physiological arousal.
This workshop offers the opportunity to understand how clinicians can clinically combine these two styles to achieve the goal of symptom relief.
Objectives:
- Describe the principal concepts and techniques of hypnosis
- Describe some of the principal concepts and techniques of CBT
- Demonstrate how to combine CBT and hypnosis to reduce anxiety symptoms
- Understand some of the literature about how hypnosis improves different types of anxiety
